Natural and Micro-Agglomerated Cork Closures backed by ScottPromise™

Scott Plus™
Natural Cork

Scott Plus™ is clean, natural cork processed and delivered at scale with the Scott Laboratories legendary promise of quality and integrity. All ScottPlus corks are cleaned with our proprietary process for the removal of TCA and other off-aromas. We use a 2-step process that combines heat-tunnel inspection with Dry-Steam technology to improve cork quality at scale and with greater reliability than any individual inspection alone.

Xpür® Micro-Agglomerated Cork

Xpür® micro-agglomerated corks are the greenest and most advanced on the market. Xpür is a new, revolutionary cork cleaning process that uses an updated and re-engineered supercritical CO2 extraction method. The Xpür process uses only 25% of the energy, and just 10% of the CO2 previously required. This process also preserves the elasticity of cork granules, eliminating the need to use any artificial components like plastic microspheres, commonly used in other micro-agglomerated cork stoppers.

Relvas Sparkling Wine Corks

Started in 1926, Relvas Portugal began as a company manufacturing cork oak stoppers for table wines and champagne. Due to the popularity of their champagne stoppers, in 1946, the company switched to producing only champagne corks. By the late 1960’s, Relvas began producing champagne corks with an agglomerate body and two discs of natural cork oak, the first company ever to do this. Today, their commitment to quality and consistency remains unwavering.

This was revolutionary to eliminating large-scale incidences of TCA. We've always been committed to quality and this continues today with our ScottPromise™  program and the development of our proprietary cork cleaning process used for our Scott Plus™ Natural Corks.

WHO WE ARE

At Scott Labs, our mission is to advance the long-term success of the specialty beverage community by providing best-in-class products and services. We believe in:

  • Honesty: Scott Promise includes all cork purchased from Scott Labs because we believe in being open and transparent with our customers and honest about the quality of our product portfolio.
  • Doing the right thing: We are the first cork supplier in the industry to promise 100% satisfaction with a bottle buy-back against cork derived TCA at no additional charge in the spirit of doing right by our customers.
ScottPromise™ Buyback Program
