OPEN OPPORTUNITIES

Scott Labs is looking for a Quality Assurance & Documentation Coordinator. Reporting to our Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s compliance documentation, assisting our customer service and operations teams to ensure orders and inventory are up to date, and become our go-to resource for certifications, registrations, protocols and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of Compliance Documentation required for Beverage Production Products
  • Management of Compliance Documentation required for Beverage Production Products
  • Timely and accurate creation of custom compliance documents for customers on request
  • Create and implement various Food Safety protocols across multiple warehouse sites in accordance with the principles of HACCP, FSMA and internal SOPs for Scott Laboratories
  • Conduct routine verification activities of Food Safety programs across multiple sites
  • Version control for Document management in NAV, Teams, SharePoint, and Website
  • Maintain up to date compliance paperwork from vendors:
  • COAs
  • Organic Certificates, Kosher Certificates
  • 3rd Party Audit Certificates for Quality and Food Safety systems
  • And more
  • Support and provide all relevant documentation for customers undergoing various certifications and audits in an accessible manner
  • Stay abreast regarding TTB and FDA regulations for winemaking, amongst other beverage markets that Scott Laboratories supports
  • Foster relationships with quality and compliance representatives from key customer accounts as well as Scott Laboratories suppliers
  • Maintain FDA registration, California Department of Public Health registration, and accounts with other regulatory bodies on behalf of Scott Laboratories
  • General documentation management for companywide certifications (Sonoma Green Business, etc.)
Customer Service & Operations
  • Support Enology, Filtration, & Brewing customer service and order taking
  • Manage our cases through our CRM platform (Salesforce)
  • Enter, edit, and process orders or other transactions as required through the company ERP
  • Routinely manage inventory to isolate expired and soon-to-be expiring inventory
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS & CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Food safety and/or wine compliance knowledge
  • Customer Service skills
  • Ability to use software applications, computer, and office equipment
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities
  • Team player
  • High attention to detail
  • Organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Environmental, health and safety experience
  • Ability to travel as needed•Reliable attendance

As Scott Labs’ Fermentation & Enology Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for representing and selling the Scott Labs portfolio of Fermentation and Enology products to the winemaking community. Our world-class portfolio, deep product and process knowledge, and customer-centric service has made us the most trusted supplier in the wine industry. As the go-to resource in your designated territory, you will leverage your own industry knowledge and technical expertise, along with our 85+ years of experience, to provide the best customer experience possible and expand our reach within your assigned territory and account list.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Continuously grow product and market knowledge with a focus on how to benefit both the customer and the company
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with decision makers and influencers within your region
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication in order to support and grow existing customer base
  • Maintain accurate account and contact information
  • Effectively prioritize activities to meet or exceed company and department initiatives
  • Travel as needed for promotion, marketing, trials, training and support
  • Manage pipeline of opportunities and provide clear customer feedback to the company
  • Attend in-person and/or virtual tradeshows and events as necessary
  • Work well with internal stakeholders to help drive customer success and contribute to a positive work environment and company culture
  • Provide fermentation technical support and communication as needed (company-wide)
  • Communicate with Inside and Outside Sales Teams on customer-specific activities and lead generation for non-Fermentation portfolio
  • Participate in and contribute to technical communication as needed including articles, handbook content, web content, seminars, speaking engagements, and digital outreach
  • Act as Fermentation product application specialist as needed (company-wide)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-4 years' experience in a winemaking environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Food Science, Biology, Enology, etc.)
  • Existing relationships with decision makers at wineries
  • Experience speaking to groups (training, conferences, etc.)
  • Experience with sales
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM
