The Inside Technical Enology & Cellar Specialist will primarily be responsible for well-informed technical support and guidance on the Scott Labs portfolio for both walk-in and remote customers.  This is a customer centric position that requires strong market and industry product knowledge with exceptional communication skills.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Provide customers with technical support on the portfolio via phone and email
  • Continuously grow product and market knowledge with a focus on how to benefit both the customer and the company; participate in educational opportunities 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to support and grow existing customer base
  • Troubleshoot customer fermentation & filtration-related issues and guide customers toward recommended best practices for resolution Support Enology, filtration, & brewing customer service
  • Enter, print, credit approve, pack and fulfill local orders (fermentation, filtration, cork, packaging and brewing plus any other specialty beverage product we may carry in the future) 
  • Assist and resolve customer service-related cases at Scott Labs with a culture of support for both internal and external requests
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred 
  • 3+ years production scale winemaking experience 
  • Ability to use software applications, computer and office equipment. 
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work within changing priorities 
  • Attention to detail
  • Organization, problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Reliable attendance  
  • Available to work 8+ hours/day when needed

The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting regulations, and efficient internal controls.

  • Day-to-day active management and transacting within the general accounting function including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, A/P, A/R, Inventory, Consolidations, and Financial Reporting.
  • Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place, documented and adhered to
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
  • Train and mentor staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external reporting
  • Prepares annual property tax returns
  • Assists with annual external/and internal audit and tax return work papers
  • Assists with sales tax compliance
  • Assist with cash EUR projections/foreign exchange contracts.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years Accounting experience
  • Supervision of direct reports
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Intermediate/Advance Excel
Compensation Range:  $95K - $115K DOE 
Hybrid position reporting to the Petaluma, CA location

  • Working understanding of HTML
