Katie Cook

Sales Representative

Katie comes to Scott Laboratories with a wealth of winemaking education and experience, particularly in cold-hardy varietals. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Houston and a Master’s degree in Enology from the University of Burgundy. Prior to joining Scott Laboratories, she was the Enology Project Leader at the University of Minnesota and most recently, the Assistant Winemaker at Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyards. When she’s not talking wine with her clients, Katie enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Terry Dewane

Corporate Accounts Manager

Terry Dewane joined Scott Laboratories in 2011, bringing along 25 years of experience in the wine industry. Terry has a B.S. in Business Management from Rutgers University, but after a brief stint in strategic marketing at a major brewery he decided that the suit and tie corporate world was not for him. He followed his passion to Northern California to study Viticulture at UC Davis while working at Cakebread Cellars. Upon graduation, he spent several years in wine production before transitioning over to the supply side of the industry, primarily in cork sales.

Mollie Forest

Sales Representative

Mollie joined Scott Laboratories in 2009. An eastern Washington native, she attended the University of Washington and currently lives in Walla Walla with her family. Mollie enjoys working with a wide range of clients, ranging from large bulk facilities to family-run organizations. She truly enjoys assisting her customers with fermentation, equipment, and packaging needs.

Ron Hahn

Sales Representative

Ron joined the Scott Laboratories sales team in early 2011 with ten years of experience in the wine industry. Shortly after attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to study viticulture and wine sales/marketing, he began his career in wine distribution with Young’s Market Company as a specialist in the fine wine division, The Estates Group. From wine distribution, Ron then transferred to the supply side of the industry in cork sales prior to joining Scott Labs. Ron currently resides in San Luis Obispo and enjoys painting, cooking and is an avid cyclist.

Vichheka Hang

Sales Representative

Vichheka Hang joined Scott Laboratories in 2017, bringing with her 15 years of experience in the wine industry. After earning an American Studies degree from UC Davis, she relocated to New York where she landed a publishing position for Time-Warner. Three years later, she returned home and began her career on the supply side of the wine industry in cork sales, and now in all aspects of winemaking product sales.

Ashlie Helm

Sales Representative

While studying abroad in Florence, Italy, Ashlie re-directed her studies to winemaking. Her travels inspired her to enroll in the in Viticulture & Enology program at University of California, Davis; where she earned her B.S. degree. She gained winemaking experience from being part of winemaking teams at J Vineyards & Winery, Ferrari-Carano, Stags’ Leap & Joel Gott Wines; making friends and connections along the way, let her to Scott Laboratories in 2012.

Megan Hereford

Sales Representative

Megan joined Scott Laboratories in the spring of 2010. A Virginia native, she received her BS in Biology in 2001 and her MS in Food Microbiology in 2003, both from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Scott Labs, Megan worked for Novozymes Biologicals for six years. She has also worked at two wineries in Virginia and looks forward to being more deeply involved with the East Coast wine industry.

Jillian Herkert

Sales Representative

Jillian joined Scott Laboratories in June 2012 after graduating from CSU Chico with a B.S. in Agricultural Business. She worked as a sales representative for Gallo Sales Company prior to joining Scott Labs. Growing up on a dairy farm in Marin, agriculture has always been a close part of her life.

Luke Holcombe

Sales Representative

Born and raised in California’s Central Valley, Luke grew up surrounded by wine grapes. This led him to pursue a degree at CalPoly, San Luis Obispo in Wine and Viticulture. Prior to joining Scott Laboratories, Luke was the Assistant Winemaker at McManis Family Vineyards in Ripon, California and Head Winemaker for Post Winery in Altus, Arkansas. He currently resides in Alma, Arkansas with his dog, Mr. Wilson.

Annamarie Howard

Bacteria Sales Manager

For 10 years Onnie was well-known to many as a Fermentation Technical Representative at the Petaluma office of Scott Labs. In 2015, when Scott Laboratories was formulating plans to open up a new site in Paso Robles, she was asked to relocate to the Central Coast to take on the role of an Outside Fermentation Technical Representative to help the growing wine community on the Central Coast.

Michael Jones

Fermentation Specialist

Michael came on board with Scott Laboratories in 2007 with over 35 years of winemaking experience under his belt. Since then he shared his wealth of knowledge with North America by traveling extensively to trade shows and seminars throughout the country, many times as a speaker. A UC Davis graduate, Michael has lived and worked in Burgundy, France and the Hunter Valley, Australia. Domestically, Michael built his experience at Novavine, Hanzell Vineyards and Caymus Vineyards. He also spent 19 years at Domaine Chandon where he put on a multitude of hats and was involved with the vineyards, operations, winemaking, laboratory and was part of the team that established the Wine Education program. Prior to his start in the wine industry, Michael spent a year traveling cross-country by freight train, stopping to work on a shrimp boat in the Gulf of Mexico, pitch hay in San Antonio and sell art in New Orleans.

Rick Mafit

Sales Representative

Our northwest representative, Rick Mafit, has been working in the wine industry since 1980. With an Enology degree from UC Davis in 1981, Rick brings years of production experience to the Scott Laboratories team. Since joining Scott in 1990 he has grown with the burgeoning northwest wine scene. Today, Rick continues to offer expert advice from a regional perspective.

Maria Peterson

Filtration Specialist

Peterson hails from South Africa, where she earned her Enology and Viticulture degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2000. Since then, she has gained valuable winemaking and grape growing experience from all over the world, along with making all of the mistakes a winemaker is expected to make, especially with filtration. She joined Scott Laboratories in 2013 and enjoys the challenge of solving filtration issues and recommending more effective and efficient ways for wine and other precious liquids to make the successful journey to clarity and stability.

Marisa Segovia-Nieblas

Sales Representative

With a background in both hospitality and marketing at several Baja area wineries, Marisa Segovia-Nieblas comes to Scott Laboratories as the new sales rep for Mexico. Marisa is based in Baja and covers all of Mexico. She is happy to assist customers with any fermentation, filtration and packaging needs.

Kevin Woodling

Sales Representative

Kevin got his start in the wine industry while attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He began by working for several family-owned wineries, and then transitioned into wine distribution sales. After several years in the industry, Kevin became a part of Scott Laboratories after the 2004 harvest. Kevin lives in Clayton, CA with his family and two energetic dogs. When he's not cooking or beating someone at hearts, he can be found playing bass for his many fans.

Martin Worsdall

Packaging Sales

Martin hails from England where he worked in hard cider production. Arriving in California in 1994, he spent three years in quality control at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars before moving into sales. Martin came to Scott Laboratories in 2000 specializing in packaging sales. His blend of production, quality control and sales experience allows him serve to his clients well.
