Velo Plate and Frame Filters

The Velo plate and frame filter is a well constructed, durable and easy to use all-around filtration device. Plate and frame filtration is a straightforward method for rough, polish and sterile filtrations. Velo plate and frames are available in 32x32cm, 40x40cm and 60x60cm plate sizes. Chassis sizes can vary depending on number of plates desired. Plates can be constructed of stainless steel, Noryl plastic, Rislan, or Moplen plastic (32x32cm only). Hydraulic closing devices, sanitary construction and diversion plates for two-stage filtrations are some of the available options that can be requested for any size machine.

This plate and frame filter is ideal for small quantity filtrations. It holds 20 filter sheets and includes a 110-volt centrifugal feed pump.

Crossflow Filter VeloFLOW TMC

Specifically developed for wine clarification, the TMC offers compactness, ease of operation and high quality filtration. The concept behind the Crossflow system is “Set and Forget” and this is exactly what the Crossflow delivers. Automated cycles for filtration and cleaning allow the Crossflow unit to virtually run without the need for an operator. The savings on filtrations are not limited to labor as media costs are also minimized compared to pad or D.E filtrations.

Crossflow units have been designed to accommodate virtually any number of elements to increase desired capacity. Units in standard production include 1,2,3,7,14,28 and 56 element designs. Each element has a maximum flow rate of 600 liters or 160 gallons per hour. Therefore a two-element machine could have a maximum flow rate of up to 1,200 l/hr or 320gal/hr.

Velo Lees and Combination Plate and Frame Filters

Velo Lees (recessed plate) filters are available in sizes ranging from 400mm X 400mm to 800mm X 800mm with chassis sizes from 20 to 100 recessed chambers (depending on the size of the filter and customer requirements).

The Velo Combi Filter Model 40X40 F/V is capable of both lees and plate filtration. The filter is stainless steel on wheels and includes a stainless steel piston pump, Noryl end plates, manual or hydraulic closure, inlet and outlet valves with sightglasses, diaphragm gauges, drip pan, and sample cocks. Recessed chamber elements and/or Noryl plates are then added according to need. Operating pressure is 12 bar and is automatic in lees filtration mode.
